Ok, I know I haven't been writing much here lately. I'm getting ready for this sale on Friday, making jewelry like a madwoman, and I've been neglecting pretty much everything and everyone else.
BUT!
I heard this song on Indie today, and have been completely obsessed with it all night. It's a duet between Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren called "Goodness, Gracious, Me!" and was a promotional single (put out for their 1960 film, The Millionairess) that became a hit. Apparently, in the film, Peter puts on "brown face" to play the Indian doctor, Dr. Ahmed el Kabir. I'm totally serious. But hey, it was 1960.
I finally found an MP3 of it, after TEN pages of google results. Guess where it was? Here, at petersellers.org. Don't ask me WHY that didn't show up until the tenth page.
Aside from being grievously racist and offensive in its stereotyping, the song is my favorite tune EVER. If I knew how, I would make it the background music for my page. Try to be grumpy and listen to it at the same time. I dare you.

Dear Helena:
Thank you so much for posting this. I have been looking for the song since I heard it on XM Radio's 60s station. It is a delight.
