Blood and Guts: Helena Lazaro
Coming Together
February 16, 2005 01:00 AM

It's all coming together! I have been busy apartment hunting, and now I'll be busy packing, but I wanted to post so my friends and family know that

I'm Happy!

I start my new production on Tuesday, and I move (hopefully) the weekend of March 5th. I really feel like I'm starting to come into my own. I'm really proud for once, too. The things that I've accomplished, one by one, never seemed to hold much weight. I have always been onto the next goal, onto the next project. Never time to enjoy what I've done, and certainly never allowed a pat on the back (sound familiar, Rina? hehe). I'm not sure why, but this big leap is triggering a sense of achievement, a sense of pride.

I feel like I've done these things on my own, like this life is my own, and I'm doing a pretty good job.

Of course, I have had lots of help on the way: the support of my family (mom sis tios tias primos primas dad and abuelita); the aid of friends/co-workers like Shane, Donny, Jeanne, Ju, Jared, and Barry; the love and encouragement of Adam and Rina.

You have all listened to me bitch and moan. I know I use this place to vent my negative feelings a lot.

But this time I'm here to say that I'm incredibly lucky to be a healthy person, with good friends and family, having fun and being continuously presented with opportunities to expand my horizons.

I'll stop now before you all throw up on your monitors, sick from the jubilation.

Thanks guys! I'll keep you posted on my new adventures. I'm sure I'll have lots of complaining to do about moving, the Gas Company, and my commute to Burbank for the two weeks until I move.

Helena-

Two things:

1. If it weren't for this blog, I never would have known about you.

2. I'm counting on you to hire me in a few years when you're running Hollywood.

:-)

Hey Helena,
Sorry to intrude on your site but I typed in Edna Cordova on Yahoo I think a while back and your site came up (although it doesn't anymore). Anyway, if you still talk to her, can you please tell her I said hello and I hope she's doing OK (although by the looks of the 2 UCLA articles that also were returned in the search, it looks like she's doing better than good). OK sorry, I now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.

The neighborhood friendly stalker (kidding of course......or am I...hmmm)

And you SHOULD be happy and proud!
Lo bueno de crecer es que las cosas cada vez se ponen mejor.
