Blood and Guts: Helena Lazaro
Again with the Nausea
August 22, 2005 07:31 PM

Smitten

Today when I drove home from work,
everything looked beautiful:
the bums on Hollywood Boulevard,
the smog in the sky,
the garbage in the gutter.
I inhaled the exhaust
of rush hour traffic
and it was an aromatic flower.
I danced to the songsJust Beautiful
that played on the radio
and they were all
my favorite song.

It feels like
everything in the world
is wonderful
because you
are in it
too.

Isn't it a nice change of pace??

What's his name...?

I came across your blog and have gotten hooked. Thanks for sharing all your stuff with everyone.

I am glad that things are looking up for you.

Keep that smile on :-)

I like smog,
smog smog smog,
sometimes I jog,
in that smog.

I have a frog,
I named it smog,
because all day,
it sits on a log.

Smog, smog, smog,
frog, frog, frog,
log, log, log,
if only Rog (as in Roger) rhymed, too.

Change of pace? Even with your pain, are the most positive person I know. And it's a treat to know you.

Rarity, you are too funny :) I want to respect his privacy, unless he decides to out himself. But he does know who he is.

Jewels, thank you for coming by and saying hello! I think that more good things are to come.

Pauly! You wrote me a poem! Thank you. But I had hoped for "snog," as well...though I don't know if Brit slang is allowed in your form.

Thanks AJ. I try. But even I get tired of hearing me hate on dudes for so long!

I knew it wouldn't be long. She is amazing, who wouldn't want to sweep her off of her feet.

Out themselves? Is it someone who regularly posts here?

Posted by: Unsomnambulist on August 23, 2005 12:42 PM

Ha! I see someone is playing detective!

Maybe he posts. Or perhaps he is just a lurker that sends me love poems back channel :)

I've never met him.

If we guess correctly will you tell us? I say we start taking bets!

Posted by: Marina on August 23, 2005 05:58 PM

Boy, you need to get smashed at the Casa de Keg more often. It seems to have brought you good luck.

Posted by: Neil on August 23, 2005 06:20 PM

Wow! That's great news. Coupled with my recent news, that means that there's exactly the same number of relationships in this world that there was the day before yesterday.

But I'm happy for you! Like Neil said, you deserve it.

Posted by: Wade on August 23, 2005 06:57 PM

Haha! Marina, it would be unfair for you to bet because you have insider information ;) But I'll allow it because you are Marina.

Yes Neil, I seem to have had a stroke of luck. But it's been a long time coming.

And Wade, don't count it yet. I may be smitten, but whether or not he can ensnare me in his not-so-tender trap remains to be seen.

Posted by: Helena on August 24, 2005 02:11 AM

Well I wasn't planning on placing a bet... Just stirring the pot. Of course I would insist you get a portion of the winnings since none of this would be happening if it wasn't for your exciting life!
