Blood and Guts: Helena Lazaro
Day 2

Doing the Math
You were always
the smart one
somehow able
to trade your heart out
for a calculator
one that told you
using simple equations
whether or not
you should love me
When things added up
you were mine
but one day
everything got
multiplied by the zero
of indifference
The present and past
cancelled each other out
and I was left
where I started
with nothing
