Souvenirs
Last time I saw snow
it was at your family home
for Thanksgiving
When we came in
from the cold
your mother made
hot chocolate for us
We weren't in love
like we used to be
but at moments like that
I thought
there might still be enough left
and if I shook the bubble
hard enough
the snow would
come down again
You gave me
family
winter
New England
the world
I know that those things
are still out there
but without you
they just don't seem the same
