Calling Myself Out
March 14, 2008 03:07 AM

You can't be lonely. Only two kinds of people will be with the Lonely.

A)People who want to use you for something and know you are weak and vulnerable,

or

B) Other lonely people.

Neither is worth while. Your time here is limited, and you shouldn't spend it with someone just because you are afraid of being alone. Be alone, face your mortality, accept your flaws, and embrace your life just as it is. Because one day spent wishing it was something else is one day you miss having it be exactly what you desire. So, you have two choices. Settle for what you have, or go after what you want.

Stop talking, stop complaining, stop sitting on your ass, and go make it happen.

I've been alone a lot, but never lonely, except when I was married. Then it seemed ironic and crazy, so I rectified that situation. Much happier now, thanks.

I'm happy to hear that! It takes courage to resolve those kinds of issues. I haven't been alone for very long at a stretch, usually just fill up that spot with someone else--I'd like to be alone and not lonely, there's a great deal of empowerment in that ability.
